About dayever

She is just your average girl next door, nothing outstanding. You might find her familiar, because she’s so ordinary.

Currently nearing 24 years old in age, she’s still a child at heart. Mindless of politics and money, she flounders her way through. Smiling and sighing over the ups and downs of life, she is glad that she, at least, has an imagination – somewhat limited at that.

Though born as a Leo, some of her friends told her she’s more like a kitten mewling.

Here, you can read all her whims and fancies, her thoughts, her life, and yes, her mewling.

Origins of dayever and Jocelyn

dayever, isn’t a name her parents gave. Neither is Jocelyn.

dayever came about during her secondary school days when this little girl was about 15 years old. mIRC was popular those days. Went through tons of nicknames – joygal, r3joyc3, bluewaterz, and other twitty nicks.

One day, she finally finished “On the back of the North Wind”, and liked the story of Princess Daylight. Tried daylight as her nickname, only to find that it was registered. Not to be daunted, she chose something similar – dayforever, was too long; day4ever looks ugly.

Before she knew it, dayever came about to add a little more chaos to the world. To be honest, dayever is her on-line alias but sometimes, spill over to the reality world. Compliments on the name are much loved though often wondered at why people admire the name so much. Of course, there were/are always some jabs from the smart alecs. ;D

Jocelyn came about because being a little copycat, she wanted to follow the name ‘trend’ her elder siblings set. Elder brother took on Julien (initially was Julian), elder sister took on Jacynth, little day wanted a name that starts with J too! Tried ‘Julie’ during her primary school days. However, seeing her name printed on biscuit tins (Julie’s) soon put her off the name.  Being somewhat limited in her resources to search for a name that starts with J, dayever chose a name that she came across before – Jocelyn. Though the name was never used to call her, dayever uses it to sign.

And yes, Jocelyn came about before dayever.

So… I found your blog while trying to find out how to make my restaurant city stop lagging. Browsing your blog a little, it felt that we’re quite similar in background and interest, though perhaps you might not think so, lol.

I’m from Taiwan, so I speak Mandarin and Taiwanese, I picked up English when I moved to the States, and I’m now in the process of picking up Japanese. I studied in Kobe for a year, but I’m still not very good at it (say, JLPT 2,3, if I studied?). Oddly enough (and to my own surprise when it happened), I’m an English major…

I just started up an anime/cosplay club at the University, and seeing as you seem to be quite capable of crafting as if you were on an MMO, perhaps I might be able to contact you sometime and ask about how you go about making some time?

*laughs* Restaurant City must really be lagging badly then, I don’t remember posting a solution to that since I’m quite a computer idiot >_> usually I will just close all applications or try again later.

You studied in Kobe?! o_o!!!! I’m jealous of your courage :) Sadly, I’ve forgotten much of the Japanese language I had learnt, though I did try to revise the basic during my holidays but with one thing or another, I didn’t progress much *coughlazycough*

What’s MMO? The first thing that came into my mind is massive multiplayer online… … … hmm. I like doing random things, but usually they don’t end up the way I like them to be. Rawr.

Yeah, I don’t know why I even started playing that game again -_- especially after I stopped playing all other games…

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I’m courageous, but after not really accomplishing my whole life, I figured studying abroad would be a growing experience; it was.

Yeah, I meant a massive multi-player online game… it was a real nerdy reference. My bad.

I can see how it might kind of suck to not make things turn out the way you want them… but then again, isn’t it quite exciting never knowing what to except xD?

I started playing it again because I miss the decorating part… Was hooked on it for the christmas event for about a week, then got bored again. XD I missed playing the Sims where I can build houses and decorate them D:

Hahaah, I’m as dorky, because when you said crafting in MMO, I thought of Runescape.

I think I will become a hermit if I study aboard… staying in the dorm room whenever possible. I’m anti-social. Hmm hmm, exciting when it turns out better, depressing when it turns out worse. Lol

yeah, I’m pretty sick of RC again… ><

lol, are you that anti-social? I suppose I am too… well, I suppose I tend to get more depressed about things, thus resulting in my anti-social behavior.

But just like anywhere and any time, life is what you make it; it's the same in Japan. So if you want to be anti-social.. you can.. if you want to go out with a lot of people, you can do that as well.

Unlike where I currently am now, there are options in Japan (and anywhere else that's not here -_-)
