After dropping by at our workplace to give Christine her (seriously bimbo-ticcally pink) card and presents, the 3 of us went to have cakes at Secret Recipe (Tea Time Special~~~).
Chocolate Banana, Mango Delight and Coffee Almond. Not too bad, but I probably wouldn’t order them again because I’m gonna try the other cakes! :3
After Belinda went off for her kickboxing lessons, Jas and I went to watch Shinjuku Incident. Because we are fans of Jackie Chan. <3
Okay, I half lied. Because of Daniel Wu too.
It was startling to see limbs chopped off suddenly and disturbing to see ‘blood’ gushing out left and right. Hey, I’m of a gentle peaceful nature, unlike Jas, who was probably hugging herself in glee.
I was, when I saw guest appearance of Saitoh Takumi (斎藤工), acting as the boyfriend of the girl Jie (Wu) was interested in. Too bad he didn’t have more lines, I would like to hear more of his sexy voice…
Shinjuku Incident. It is probably a movie that I wouldn’t watch a second time if given a choice.
People change when they are given too much power.
The quiet ones are the ones you should look out for (Hong Kong Boy).
There is always someone who is unlucky enough to be at the wrong place at the wrong time (Jie).
Drugs kill (Jie).
Keep your friends close, your enemies closer. And your subordinates (Eguchi).
Not all girls like bad boys (The girl Jie likes), probably because Takumi rocks more.
Not all good men that bad women like are actually good men; and the women bad (Steelhead & Lily).
Now I feel like watching IWGP…

“Like Father, Like Son”…
Like mother, like daughter…
or so they say.
How many times do I hear my one of my parents rebuking me on my habits/behaviour/attitude and then blaming his/her other half for setting bad example?
Actually, not many. Now.
Last time? More.
They’ve gotten more cunning smarter.
Now, they’re just blaming me. For learning from the society (i.e. YOU).
Now, I’m gathering evidence against them.
So bow down to me for clearing your names. \o/
Accusation #1. Spending money on unproductive things; things that I already have; things that I could live without.
Family members I’ve Learnt from: Father; Mother; Brother; Sister.
Reasons: Don’t lie, it’s impossible that they never ever spend money on unproductive things. Just look at the stupid treadmill in my living room.
Take one – the Television set. It wastes time AND electricity.
Take two -

In case you’re wondering, it’s that clingy ’spiderman’. A toy my dad bought from China (and Singapore sells it). Sure, it’s cheap, but hey, every cent carelessly spent is money wasted.
Take three – My brother’s transformers
Take four – Just look at the amount of clothes/bags/cosmetics my sister has.

Accusation #2. Leaving things lying around; not packing things in boxes; not throwing away stuff.
Family members I’ve Learnt from: Father, Mother, Brother, Sister
Reasons: It’s hard to catch your parents at fault here, usually. Because they have so few belongings. My brother has his own house which I don’t visit often. However, I have to admit he’s neater than us.
Take one -

Oops, a bit blurry there. Well, my sister and I are collectors.
She – collector of newspaper.
Me – just anything else.
Leaving things around? That’s work in progress, usually my art stuff.
You seriously think I’m going to sit there for hours waiting for the paint to dry?
Not throwing away stuff? Hey, those have memories. Or could come in useful sometime in the future (yea, right, sure).
However, I seldom got scolded for this (only my sister – for her beloved newspapers). Actually there’s not as much things to throw because we already threw away what we could during our nomadic days.

Accusation #3: Wasting time reading; playing games
Family members I’ve Learnt from: Mother, Brother, Sister
Reasons: My whole family reads; but my father reads much less than us. Unless you count reading through his English grammer/vocabulary notes as one. If we know my mother’s favourite genre of game, I bet she will be sitting there playing.
Don’t think I don’t know that you play the games in your cell quite frequently!
My siblings – do I need to say more? My brother was the one who introduced me to all the nice PC games; and my sister the games that have too much gore. Furthermore, he bought Wii when it wasn’t that popular in Singapore yet.
I knew my brother used to have 3 accounts on Maplestory and uses all computers/laptops available to access them. My sister has an account on…some online MMORPG which she logs on everyday.

Accusation #4: What time do you think it is? Go to bed or face my wrath.
Family members I’ve Learnt from: Brother, Sister
Reasons: Actually my whole family sleeps late. Late to bed, early to rise – for fear of missing out of any possible gossip. Nah, my parents used to own restaurant(s). Being stringent, they don’t employ much, so they pretty much have to do everything themselves. So they’re used to it – after all those years.
My brother seemingly did/does not need much sleep (because he needed more time to play). Not sure about now though.
My sister is a late sleeper too.
When everyone sleeps late, it’s hard to sleep early with all the din going on.
*excuses, excuses*
But I’m probably the latest sleeper.

Accusation #5: Binging on tidbits.
Family members I’ve Learnt from: Brother, Sister
Reasons: Actually my parents too. Just that our ideas of tidbits are different. In fact, I think as they age, they are being influenced by us.
Take one -

That were actually 3/4 packet full of sweet and sour prunes respectively. My father bought them.
Take two – the fact that I still owe my sister 4 packets of Ruffles’ Cheddar & sour cream flavored potato chips.
Take three – My mum suggesting that we buy red bean ice cream when we were out grocery shopping (she knows that I dislike beans).
Actually, I think my parents binge on (their type of) tidbits.

Accusation #6: Keep watching animation (cartoons in their eyes).
Family members I’ve Learnt from: BROTHER
Reasons: He’s the culprit who introduced and got me hooked to anime. Actually my sister watches too – Death Note and Claymore, but she’s more into TVB. Hey, it’s like who my parents are addicted to TVB dramas. My mum actually woke up at 7 am to watch a drama, disc after disc, stopping for half an hour to have lunch, continue watching, stopping at 630 to prepare dinner, and continue till 11pm (though it didn’t happen often).
And don’t think I don’t know you wake up early to watch those cartoons TV shows during festivals, dad.
Accusation #7: Raising my pipsqueak voice.
Family members I’ve Learnt from: Father, Mother, Uncle, Auntie, Brother, Sister
Reasons: When you falsely accuse me. Or maybe when you are chanting nagging repeatedly on the same topic. Sometimes, it’s because you can’t hear. Sometimes, when you don’t believe what I’ve said.
for example – Dad: What do you want for lunch?
Me: Nasi Lemak
Dad: You want to add anything else?
Me: No
Dad: You sure you don’t want to add?
Me: Yes, I don’t want anything extra.
Dad: Are you sure?
Me: I can’t even finish the usual portion.
Dad: How about adding egg (/Sausage/fish)?
Me: NO.

._.
That’s all I could think of now.

Some things when you don’t own or experience it, you don’t miss it.
If you had a glimpse of it and it’s not yours forever, you lament.
While possessing it, you don’t cherish as much.
When it’s past, you feel regretful, or thought that it sucked.
Sometimes there’s this urge to check something out even though you know that what lies ahead could hurt you. Yet, still you venture… and got hurt.
Out of the blue, some memories may hit you, make you smile, make you cry, they’re memories – bittersweet.
Different experiences are there to allow us to grow.
Lift your chin, take a deep breath and smile pretty because we are still here.
