This is a (oofuri) fangirl’s post

19 Jul

With Ookiku Furikabutte Season 2′s last episode sadly over (more than a few weeks now), I still need more doses of oofuri.

If you don’t know what I am talking about, it is a baseball anime. I don’t usually go for sports genre, but oofuri is funny and entertaining enough to keep my attention. It is pretty typical… a weak main character that grows etc etc… so I guess it is the battery love  teamspirit that kept my interest?

Needless to say, such battery love teamspirit makes BL (boys love) fangirls squeeing.  Lots of doujinshi on oofuri. But the best is still the fluffy Chibi Mihashi Ren series. It is way too cute.

Watch it, just off the sound :x

Sunshine House, Moonlight Home
Prologue Song, Epilogue Ring
Morning Coffee, Afternoon Milk
Precious Sweet, Present Heart

Takaya as a kitten is cute too, in a different way.

I laughed out loud at Takaya’s expression. That ‘don’t screw with me’ expression is epic.

Anyway, below is my favourite picture of all!

How much of a favourite? Well… enough for me to try to make it into a plushie… but failed to reproduce such cuteness. :(

Oops, I forgot the tail… It has been a while since I touched felt. It is still fun!

Merry Christmas

24 Dec

Here’s that song you’ve been waiting for!

Tuti the big headed Asian
Had a very big forehead
And if you ever saw it
You wouldn’t let him in your bed
All of the fangirls
Used to laugh and call him names
They wouldn’t let poor Tuti
Join in their tennis games
Then one dark and steamy night
Nagayan came to say
Tuti with your head so wide
Won’t you be my blushing bride
Then all the fangirls loved him
And they shouted out with glee
Tuti and Nagayama
You’ll go down in history!

of Subbing videos

29 Nov

Have you tried subbing videos before?

It’s fun at first, but gets horribly tiring after a while. Especially if you are the (poor) translator as well. *Looped a sentence for at least 3 times* No matter how sexy the person’s voice is, you would feel like stabbing him/her with a blunt fork.

I saw Shinji’s post (crunchyroll) requesting for subtitles from the viewers and an idea popped into my mind. Why the thought of subbing never occurred to me before when I could usually follow the dialogue somewhat. Well, at least better than when I first watched Hunter x Hunter.

So I went ‘how to create subtitles’ on the search engine and it provided me with various subtitles creators. I downloaded VisualSubSync and meddled around with it for a few hours. It’s fairly easy to use when you got the hang of it, but I can’t find an easy and interesting enough video to sub.

I tried Sukitomo, the first raw video I found in my directory. I gave up after about an hour. I think I was around 20 minutes when I hit the close button.  The looks on Takumi and Aiba’s face when they gazed at each other made me too giggly.

Second, I tried Nagayan’s interview video for Rock Musical, No clouds in Blue Heavens. It was around 6 minutes. I stopped after his introduction. Because he ramblestalked way too fast for this newbie to catch anything. *gives up on Nagayan’s videos*

Third, a section of Hottokenai Pnish TV which I thought was funny. But there’s nothing much to sub.

…*sits and stare at screen*

and to think I thought I could show off my work. -_-

Anyway, I realised subbing’s really troublesome and takes up quite a long time. So to all those who kept flaming how slow the fansub groups are, go and try subbing it yourself.

Wahahhaahaha XD
Tuti’s English translation for “放っといてくれ (leave me alone)”.
The other Pnish members’ translations were funny too.
Daiki : Don’t toche me (don’t touch me)
Eiji : No thank you
Washio : Se dun (Sit down)

But Tuti’s made my morning.

of Prince of Tennis

23 Nov

It’s amazing how many spin offs are created by a shounen sports manga – Tenisu no Oujisama (Prince of Tennis)

First you have the manga:

(which I have never read before)

Then the animation:

(which I drooled over)

Then the OVAs.

Then an Animated Movie – The Two Samurai.

(Which I owned too)

There’s Stage Plays for it – Tenimyu / Gekipuri

(Which I started fangirl-ing especially over the first cast *cough*TutixNagayan*cough*)
(and somewhat over second cast)

When you covered visual, there is no reason to leave out audio; PoT got seiyuus singing.
(There’s Aozu and Cap to Bins…)

Here gang, the song I used to terrorise you all with.
Tonde! Mawatte! Mata Raishuu (Echizen version – because I think it’s cuter)

There’s also Rajipuri; seiyuus terrorising everyone over the radio.

Echizen learning Kansai ban

Here’s the Trading Card game.

And games on electronic devices (ie GBA, NDS, Playstation etc).

Obviously with such popularity, there should be merchandises.

(My SGD$100 alarm clock)

With the male harem, it’s almost impossible not to have doujinshi. I don’t really have to say which genre…right?

(But I only support Golden Pair.)

I remembered the excitement when I saw PoT’s making a live action Movie using the 2nd myu cast…

(go go Adachi)

and then I waited (impatiently) for the Nationals.

Which had stopped on Crunchy.

.

.

.

Today, I saw PoT being made into a Drama.

By the Chinese.

/Edit: By the way, Jas, do you know that there’s a jdrama for Cat Street? Only 6 episodes.
